The 2026 Ardennes Circuit Commemoration will take place on August 7, 8 and 9
The deliberations and discussions took some time, but in the end, the Royal Automobile Club of Spa can confirm that the Ardennes Circuit Commemoration will now take place on the second weekend of August, with its central location still situated on McAuliffe Square in Bastogne…
By ensuring the continued success of the Ardennes Circuit Commemoration, the RAC Spa has safeguarded a piece of automotive heritage! It's clear that Pierre Delettre and his team were under intense scrutiny from vintage and classic car enthusiasts, especially given the event's lack of any sporting connotation. A first edition was necessary to better understand the ins and outs of such an event, and ultimately, it was the friendly atmosphere and the meticulous attention to detail in the presentation of this Commemoration that proved so popular.
""As we announced, we allowed all participants to share their satisfactions and any disappointments they might have had through a survey,"" explains Pierre Delettre. ""By reviewing the responses, which were overwhelmingly positive, we were able to identify some areas for improvement. One or two owners of very old cars didn't find what they were looking for. So be it. Others were delighted with the experience, and many told us they would be there in the future. We have never hidden the fact that our primary goal was to make this event a large public gathering rather than a trade fair for specialists and experts. Within the RAC Spa, we are certain that this tribute to the Circuit des Ardennes will quickly find its target audience, which will undoubtedly be somewhat different from the one gathered by Jacques Deneef and his team at previous editions. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the person who initiated this Commemoration for his numerous messages of support and his ongoing advice."" The whole team enjoyed it… »
The next step was to address the matter. Because there is inevitably a next step… ""With the Legend Boucles, which we have been organizing in Bastogne for ten years, we had reached the point of renewing our agreement with this major city in the province of Luxembourg, so steeped in history,"" continues Pierre Delettre. ""Discussions over the past few months have therefore focused on a new agreement encompassing the Ardennes Circuit Commemoration. We are thus able to confirm that this tribute to the first closed circuit in the history of motorsport will continue, barring unforeseen circumstances. For various reasons, notably due to competition from other major events on the historic vehicle scene, the RAC Spa wished to move its summer event by one month. An agreement has been reached, confirming that the Ardennes Circuit Commemoration will now take place on the second weekend of August. This will undoubtedly mean missing some August attendees, but July already meant missing a handful of July attendees!"" The 2026 edition will therefore take place on Friday 7th, Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th August. Mark your calendars!
In a future communication, the Royal Automobile Club of Spa will be able to confirm the major developments of this second edition, with an organizing team that will be enriched by one or more respected personalities in the sector of vintage vehicles, as well as a theme that will be specific to each edition.
It is already agreed that the Sunday stop in Habay-La-Neuve will be maintained, in the name of history, tradition and the enthusiasm shown by local stakeholders.
It is therefore with delight that the new organizers of the Ardennes Circuit Commemoration confirm that history is more than ever in motion, and that this event celebrating the motorsport past of the province of Luxembourg will not soon be forgotten…
So, join us on the second weekend of August to reopen the great book of automotive, motorcycle and motorsports history...
